Cecret Lake

The family and I made our annual hike to Cecret Lake about a week ago. We got a late start so it was crowded and the light was bright and directly overhead. Anyway, the late start gave the rock climbers a chance to get out and on the mountain. Here is a shot of one of the climbers.



The wild flowers were out as well. There were lots, but they were mostly blue and white, with only a few red Indian Paint Brush, so they didn't really pop for the camera.

Mt. Whitney

Had a fantastic trip with two great friends, Jason and Dave, to climb Mt. Whitney. We left our hotel at 3:00 a.m. and were on the trail by 3:45. We hiked in the dark with headlamps for a few hours and then were treated to a great sunrise.





We passed some pretty mountain lakes before we crossed the treeline.







The mountains were very dramatic.











The top was not easy, but it was worth it.
